Dane Pizzuti Krogman self-portrait

Dane Pizzuti Krogman holds a BFA and MFA from the University of Minnesota, where he specialized in Asian art history with a concentration in textile and surface design. He has taught at Cal Poly Pomona, the College of Charleston, Virginia Commonwealth University, and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. He has also worked as a freelance designer, a pictorial artist, an owner of a scenic design company, and a spec writer for feature film scripts. His graphic novel, Skeleton Boy, won the grand prize for best graphic story in the 2003 Hiroshima Peace Memorial Contest. The book is now part of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Library. He has been a US Civil War and Indian Wars scholar for most of his life.
